Description

The plate-type meTRON 03 SL Metal Detector automatically and continuously detects tramp ferrous, stainless-steel and non-ferrous metals. The plate-design is easy to install without excessive plant modifications and there is no requirement for a slider plate. There is also no necessity for a metal-free zone. Once installed, no additional adjustment or tuning is required.
The meTRON 03 SL is suitable for smaller burden depths or for the inspection of hollow parts. The metal detector includes a separate electronic control panel for processing and condition monitoring.

Operation

As with other Metal Detectors, on detecting any tramp metal, a signal is generated in the search coil and transmitted to the control unit. This signal is processed and used to control other circuits, which include the interlocking of the belt conveyor, operating audible or visual alarms, belt interlocking, marking devices or automatic rejection mechanisms.
