Towable Magnetic Sweepers clear damaging ferrous metal debris from large surface areas such as airport runways, roads, car parks, warehouses and factories. Such metal damages vehicle tyres (e.g. causing punctures) and is an injury risk to employees (e.g. trip hazard and impaling injuries). The Towable Magnetic Sweepers are suitable for a wide range of vehicles including fork trucks, cars, SUVs, and service vehicles. The magnetic attractive force is produced with either strong permanent magnets or electromagnets, with the selection dependent on the application. Both designs generate a strong magnetic force that lifts and holds ferrous metals such as nails, screws and swarf from floors and road ways.

Towable Permanent Magnetic Sweeper
The Towable Permanent Magnetic Sweeper is easy to operate, robust and extremely effective at clearing ferrous metal from the surface of large areas such as car parks, warehouse floors, and manufacturing facilities. The magnetic force is produced by an optimally-designed permanent magnetic block, generating a deep and powerful magnetic force to lift and hold large and small ferrous metals.
In operation, the Towable Magnetic Sweeper is easily attached to the rear of a vehicle such as a fork lift truck. The main magnetic block is mounted on two heavy-duty rubber wheels with an easily connectable tow hitch. In operation, ferrous metal debris is lifted off the floor onto the magnet face and then collected in an automatic waste removal system.
Towable Permanent Magnetic Sweepers are suitable for use indoors and outdoors at an optimum towing speed of between 5-6mph. The Towable Magnetic Sweeper is available in a range of widths between 1200mm and 2200mm wide, although bespoke designs are also available.
Towable Electro Magnetic Sweeper
The Towable Electro Magnetic Sweeper is designed for more arduous applications such as clearing ferrous debris from airport runways, roads, at shipping ports, large car parks, and large warehouses or manufacturing plants. The magnetic force is produced by an optimally-designed electromagnetic block, generating a deep and powerful magnetic force to lift and hold large and small ferrous metals.
In operation, the Towable Magnetic Sweeper is easily attached to the rear of a vehicle such as a service vehicle or SUV. The main magnetic block is mounted on two heavy-duty car-sized wheels with an easily connectable tow hitch. In operation, ferrous metal debris is lifted off the floor onto the magnet face. Local controls mounted within the vehicle cab enable the operator to switch the magnet off and release any captured ferrous metal debris.
